Giuliano Cavaliere was born in Cava de' Tirreni (Italy) in 1987. Still a child, he moved to Rome, as he was admitted in the Pueri Cantores of the Cappella Sistina's Choir, conducted by Domenico Bartolucci. He studied Violin at the Conservatorio di Roma "Santa Cecilia", where he graduated with the highest marks in 2006 under the guidance of Camillo Grasso, and where he earned a M.A. degree in Violin with the highest honors (cum laude). He currently studies composition under the guidance of Luciano Pelosi.
He attended several master classes, held by Massimo Marin, Mariana Sirbu, Sonig Tchakerian, Stefan Kamilarov and Salvatore Accardo. He also studied with Michael Frischenschlager at the Mozarteum in Salzburg (Sommerakademie 2011) and with Mi-Kyoung Lee at the Académie de Musique "Tibor Varga" in Sion (Switzerland). He attended an one-year course in Chamber Music with Trio di Parma in Fiesole (Italy). Currently he studies with Sonig Tchakerian at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Roma.
As a performer, he has been member of several chamber ensembles and orchestras, performing and recording in Italy, Germany, Austria and The Netherlands. He is member of the PMCE (Parco della Musica Contemporanea) ensemble, with which he performed at many important festivals of contamporary music (e.g. Nuova Consonanza, EMUFest, Equilibrio). In May 2010 he premiered compositions by Ezra Pound (including "Sestina altoforte", for violin solo) at the Auditorium of Parco della Musica in Roma.
